The story begins
...in a tiny little paradise island when Raya team started to teach scuba diving and take travellers to nearby dive sites. The year was 2000 and these Finnish guys living on tents fell in love to diving and Thailand.
Things got busy...
...when larger tour operators came into the picture sometime in 2002-3. Raya opened new destinations, started to expand into non-diving excursions and suddenly they had several offices, boats, excursions and offering tourists many kinds of holiday experiences throughout the year.
...nearly destroyed the company several times. There's been viruses, tsunamis, up's and down's but the pure love to what Raya does has been keeping them going. These unfortunate incidents have stopped many companies but it has made Raya just stronger, and better.
...looks different than in 2000 when it started. The company has developed a brand that is known for quality, safety and excellent customer service. The company offers quality experiences that customers love, and come back for it. Over 50 seasonal guides and dive instructors work for Raya in Thailand and the company takes over 20.000 annual guests to excursions all over the best destinations.
In 2020 when Covid-19 hit the world, Raya made an unusual move: Due to travel restrictions Raya team started to arrange excursions in their home country, Finland. All operations was stopped in Thailand from March 2020.
Now in 2022 the company is having high hopes for the tourism to return to Thailand soon. That way there would be another chapter starting in the company doing what it loves.
