SIMILAN - Diving Trip (from Khao Lak)
Similan Islands National Park is one of the most famous destinations in Thailand: Nine unique islands with white-sanded beaches, crystal clear waters and rich marine life. The archipelago is located 65 km west of Khao Lak and is considered one of the most interesting diving areas in the world. Due to its various shallow bays and sheltered coral reefs it's a very popular destination for snorkeling and island tours as well.
During the boat trip you set up the dive gear and get a briefing. Upon arrival to the destination you'll jump into the water for the first dive. Lunch is after the dive on the boat and more diving coming up in the afternoon. In between the dives you can snorkel or just relax on the boat.

Everyone up to 75 years old participants are insured on trips or diving courses conducted by Raya Divers. The insurance is approved by Thai T.A.T. (Tourist Authority of Thailand), and it covers evacuation and treatment for accidents up to 500 000 THB (approx. 12 500 EUR). Most accidents are minor (stumbling on the deck of a boat, dehydration, etc), which the insurance covers easily. However, we recommend each traveler to have their own travel insurance, and for certified divers to have an insurance specifically for scuba diving. This would assist you to avoid possible coverage problems on severe injuries, decompression chamber treatment or expensive evacuation cases back to your home country.
Hi Team. Craig and I were with you guys in Similan today. We had a great dive day. Niya (sorry for very bad spelling) was fantastic. As a new person to Open Water, I felt she looked after me and the rest of the group so well. Please say thank you again from us. Nice to dive with Madeline too (poor spelling again. I am sure it is spelt differently in Sweden). I left my phone on the boat at the end of the trip. I called my phone. One of the crew answered and very kindly dropped the phone back to my hotel. I gave him a tip and a hug to say thank you but I would appreciate if you could also pass on my thanks to him. I don’t know his name. God bless the Thai people. They are just so wonderful. Raya is a super company. We will happily recommend you guys to friends travelling through Thailand.

Isä ja äiti pääsivät pitkän tauon jälkeen pinnan alle, äitiä "vähän" jännitti, mutta Nea sai taitavalla ja kärsivällisellä opastuksellaan pelot kaikkoamaan. Moikka, laitan tässä palautetta lomareissulta 2.12.-22.—2.1.-23. Khao Lak - Koh Lanta - Phuket. Reissu alkoi pienellä säätämisellä, kun lentoyhtiö hävitti matkatavarat, jotka olivat viikon kateissa. Maski vahvuuksilla, sekä VA-kuvaus laitteita. Onneksi sain heti apua Raya Diversin Khao Lak porukalta ja saatiin siirrettyä sukellusretkiä. Varsinkin Petteri Airanne oli isona apuna ja tukena pieneen harmitukseen. Matkatavarat yllättäen ilmestyivät bungalowin oven taakse sitten päästiin sukeltamaan ja sain Petterin oppaaksi, jälleen sain lisää hyviä vinkkejä ja opastusta sukeltamiseen, todella ammattilainen joka huolehti laitteet kuntoon, niin itse sain vihdoin rentoutua. Oppaanani toimi myös Patrice ja sukellukset olivat rentoja ja nautittavia mukavia herrasmiehiä kiitos molemmille! Sukellusalukset olivat hyviä ja juoma ruokatarjoilut toimivia. Kävimme välissä Koh Lantalla ja Harmi että siellä ei ole teidän palveluita tarjolla tällä hetkellä. Kiitos vielä molempien toimistojen väelle asioiden sujuvuudesta.
